In case of ties between identical poker hands, the highest unmatched card and the highest secondary pair will break the tie.
The best possible hand at a given moment is called the “nuts” hand. This hand consists of all seven cards from the deck. If it is the highest-ranking hand, it means that the player has the best hand. Moreover, it means that a person has a large statistical edge. But a backdoor flush is not as likely to occur as a straight.
The top five hands will be determined in the next betting round. For example, two players are dealt a pair of kings. The highest pair is the pair of aces, and two pairs are lower-ranking than a pair of queens or three-of-a-kind. A high-ranking hand will win a pot if at least one of the players has a pair of aces.
